Parents of Struggling Readers Workshop

Do you have or know a child that is struggling to read? Join Miss Sarah on April 16 at 6:30 PM as she discusses what she has learned about struggling readers and dyslexia from her own experiences researching and advocating for her son. Miss Sarah will share what dyslexia is, common misconceptions about it, what it looks like, and why waiting and telling kids to “try harder” does not work. She will share what science has shown about how to help our kids learn to read and what resources are available. Whether your child is facing an unexpected struggle learning to read, or if your child has already been identified with a specific learning disability in reading or dyslexia, you are welcome to join the conversation, ask questions and share experiences. Light refreshments will be provided. Adults only.

Register online or by calling 412-269-0334.
