Summer Reading has returned! This year, Summer Reading runs from June 10 to July 31st. We have four different age groups: Birth – Preschool, Grades K-6, Grades 7-12, and Ages 18 + up. Here are the rules.
Rules for Littles (Birth – Preschool)
- Grab the Littles packet.
- Use the packet to track how many books are read. Littles have the goal of reading 100 books by July 31.
- When the reading goal is reached, turn in the book tracker to receive a raffle ticket and gift. Only one gift per child.
- Raffle prizes will be drawn on June 29 and July 31. One winner will be selected in the Littles age group each time. Prizes will be Moon Library tote bags filled with surprises.
Rules for Grades K-6, Grades K-12, and Ages 18 + up
- Grab the packet for the your age group.
- Set your own reading goal and write it on your book tracker.
- Every time you finish a book, bring your book tracker to the Circulation Desk to receive a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets can only be used for your own age group.
- Earn extra raffle tickets by completing weekly challenges. The challenges are:
- June 10-15: Book lovers trivia
- June 17-22: Book shelf coloring page
- June 24-29: My shelfie photo fun
- July 1-6: Book title challenge
- July 8-13: Shredded book title test
- July 15-20: Riddle me this
- July 22-27: Guess the book contest
- Raffle prizes will be drawn on June 29 and July 31. One winner will be selected in the each age group each time. Prizes will be Moon Library tote bags filled with surprises.
