The Underground Railroad with New Brighton Historical Society

Few know that tiny New Brighton played a major role in helping guide enslaved people to freedom. The New Brighton Historical Society has unearthed the legacy, the historical figures involved, and the rare locations still in existence. On June 18 at 6 PM, J. Michael Spratt, president of the New Brighton Historical Society will share to how the Townsends, Irish, Stantons, and others who risked it all to help the anti-slavery movement.
