Thanks to a generous donation from WGU, Moon Library has received an additional 40 pairs of solar eclipse glasses. That means we have 60 pairs of solar eclipse glasses available for our solar eclipse party. Our first 60 registrants and attendees will receive solar eclipse glasses upon arrival.
Only one pair of glasses are available per registrant. Each person must be registered independently.
Special thanks to Fred Vonderlage, Strategic Partnerships Manager for Western Pennsylvania at WGU for donating their extra solar eclipse glasses to our community.
Program info: Watch the moon eclipse the sun at Moon Library! Moon Township Public Library will be a viewing site for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. The moon will cover 97.8% of the sun for about three minutes starting at 3:19 PM. In addition to the viewing, we’ll have Moon Pies, astronaut snacks, trivia, and more!
Patrons on the Wait List may attend but are not guaranteed to get glasses. If you are on the Wait List, it is recommended that you bring your own glasses.
Registering for and attending this event is the only way to get free solar eclipse glasses from Moon Library.
