The wait is over! The Children’s Department has moved into the lower level of the building and is open for book business.
Patrons can get to the Children’s Department by parking at the back of the building and using the Tax Office entrance, by taking the elevator to floor L, or taking the stairs to the right of the main library’s doors.
The Children’s Department closes 15 minutes before the main library to give staff a chance to clean up and secure the area.
Patrons will still need to go into the main library to pick up holds. They can check out items with the staff member on duty at the Children’s Department desk in the picture book room.
Children’s movies and video games remain in the main library. Children’s music, kits, and dolls are in the new picture book room.
Storytimes and other Children’s Department programs will resume on April 7 so our hardworking staff can focus on Battle of the Books.
