Romance Writers Roundtable

Join us for our first-ever Romance Writers Round Table! On September 21 at noon, we’ll host local writers who each specialize in different romance genre. Learn about romance writing, discover new books, meet some fantastic local authors, and indulge your inner book nerd!

The visiting authors are:

  • Christina Bunner: Christina has been writing since her high school years when she first picked up a novel by Tori Phillips. Romance in medieval times has always fascinated her and brought out a love of historical romance. She loves to make her heroines vibrant and not afraid of anything.
  • Carrie Ann DiRisio: Carrie Ann DiRisio is a YA writer and creator of @BroodingYAHero. She lives in Pittsburgh, PA with one large fluffy cat, and is currently pursuing her masters in Digital Marketing, although her true dream is to become a Disney Villainess, complete with a really snazzy gown. In addition to writing and plans for world domination, she also enjoys running, coffee, Krav Maga, and knitting.
  • Kimberly M. Miller: Kimberly Miller is a writer of novels and screenplays. She also teaches college-level writing and film courses. When she isn’t writing, you can find Kimberly reading, making jewelry, watching movies, or camping with her family.
  • Linda Rettstatt: Linda Rettstatt began her writing career at the tender age of eighteen while working as a classified ad clerk for her hometown newspaper. She covered the local community theater stories no one else wanted to cover, and she did so with enthusiasm, insisting upon a by line. Rettstatt’s creative nature steered her into a career as a semi-professional folk musician for a number of years. Finally, in 2002, she sat at a computer determined to find out if she could write a novel. That novel and three more were contracted by a small press. She moved from small press publishing to self-publishing in 2014 and has forty-plus novels and novellas and several short stories in her bibliography.

The authors will have books for sale after the program and will leave time for questions. Light refreshments will be served.

Adults 18 + up welcome with registration. Register online or call 412-269-0334.
