Emergency Closing: Letter from the Director

To the patrons of Moon Township Public Library,

We are sad to say that the library will have to remain closed for a time to allow for proper cleanup of our space after last weekend’s pipe issue and resulting water damage.  We are working to make the library safe for all users and hope to open for our regular public service hours early next week.  The library will be closed Thursday, February 7th – Saturday, February 9thWe will post additional updates and changes to our schedule as cleanup progresses.  We thank you for your understanding and patience.

Sincerely,

Anita Greene-Jones

Library Director

  1. Hello,

Sorry to hear so much damage occurred @ the Library from the pipe break.

I’m assuming any ‘requested’ items (including InterLibrary Loans-ILL) that have arrived that originally needed to be picked up by Friday, Feb 1 or later will continue to be held for pick up when the Library re-opens.
Just not sure how much longer after the Library re-opens before the items are put back into circulation (including ILL).

    Thanks kindly,

  2. What should we do about books on hold and books we need to return? Can we wait until the library reopens? Should we return books to another library? Can books on hold be transferred to another library like Sewickley?
