We’re launching into learning with our WQED Education Inquire Within partnership! Kids ages 4 & 5 years old will attending this storytime on their own Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 AM with the help of some of our favorite PBS Kids characters. They will explore theme-related books, activities, crafts and games to reinforce skills such as number and letter recognition, scissor cutting, listening and following directions.
Mother Goose on the Loose
An award-winning early literacy program for children up to 3 years old emphasizing one-on-one interaction with the child and caregiver.
One Wednesday a month kids can sign up to read with Kenzo, a certified therapy dog. Register to read with the miniature collie by calling 412-269-0334 or online.
A storytime held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM for children 2 & 3 years old with a caregiver featuring stories, songs, and crafts.
Clubs & Kits
During the month of birth, your child will receive a free treat bag and a selection of handpicked books to borrow. You’ll receive an email when your birthday bag is ready for pick-up. Come to the library and fill out a registration card today!
Kids ages 2-8 years old build with blocks and other creative toys on the first Monday of the month. Please register by calling 412-269-0334 or online.

Stop by the Children’s department to get a customized book suggestion list from our kids librarian Miss Megan. Please allow for a few days for the list to be created.
Sign up for a blind bag of library books based on age and reading level. Bags are usually available the next business day after you turn in your sheet.
Going on a trip this summer? Visit the library and get a kit designed special for you! The kit includes handpicked books, and activity packets to take along for the long haul.
